>> And back to our top story today, Dr. Anthony Fauci invoking the fifth more than 100 times during Senate testimony on the hill today. One of the senators who was in that room was Republican Florida Senator Ashley Moody. She was asking him questions. She's kind enough to join us this afternoon, Senator. Great to see you. Thanks for joining us. >> Great to be with you. >> So we know Dr. Fauci loves the spotlight and loves the media. His diary shows he was tracking it pretty much every single day, including who was calling him sexy. Well, he had the spotlight on him today, and he pleaded the fifth in 11 times. The cat got his tongue, apparently. Your top line thoughts? >> Yeah, look, I was the Attorney General in Florida before I was a United States Senator. We called this and pushed back a lot on what Washington was mandating during the time of COVID from masks to lockdowns to social distancing. And we really called it out. And you'll know in the diary Fauci called our governor DeSantis a total jerk, a disgrace, and was very masked. And he said that he kept pushing back on his claims that you had to wear masks and you had to do all this stuff. So remember, Florida had a grand jury already back in 2023 where we put together a group of lay people, all walks of life, all political persuasions. And they said, yes, indeed, many of those directions to the American people were not in fact based on any scientific data. And even Fauci has conflicted statements throughout the time when we were dealing with COVID. And I think that was really under the microscope today, which is why you saw him invoke the fifth 111 times. >> Well, it's incredibly frustrating and tragic to our country because so much at what kept Americans inside their homes, many who didn't even venture out to see loved ones dying, shut down our churches, shut down our schools, shut down our businesses. Remember, I had to litigate to open back up entire industries and win in court everything we did to keep Washington out of our lives in Florida, which made Florida the free state that was really on trial today. And he couldn't answer a question because he took the fifth every time. Very frustrating. >> We will keep tabs on that. Senator Moody, thanks so much for coming on this afternoon.
